Start with the Getting Started guide below, then try your first simulation.

Launch Simulator

Getting Started

How to log in with your access code and navigate the main dashboard.

Go to the login page and enter your access code
You will see your main dashboard with Quick Actions
Use the left sidebar to start a new simulation or browse scenarios
Your progress is saved automatically

Running Your First Simulation

Choose a scenario, set up your incident, and start commanding.

Click 'New Simulation' from the dashboard
Browse the scenario library and select an incident type
Review the scenario briefing and initial information
Enter the simulation and begin your incident command

METHANE Reporting

How to complete a structured METHANE report within the simulator.

M - Declare a Major Incident
E - Provide the Exact Location of the incident
T - Describe the Type of Incident (RTC, HAZMAT, etc.)
H - Identify any Hazards present or potential
A - Detail Access routes and rendezvous points
N - Report Number and Severity of casualties
E - State Emergency services present and required

Triage System

Understanding the P1/P2/P3 triage categories and how casualties deteriorate.

P1 (Immediate) - Life-threatening injuries requiring immediate intervention
P2 (Urgent) - Serious injuries that can wait a short time
P3 (Delayed) - Walking wounded with minor injuries
Not Breathing - CPR can only begin if resources allow
Casualties can deteriorate if not triaged and treated promptly

Using the Command Center

Navigate the interactive UK map, deploy resources, and manage the scene.

Click 'Enter Command Center' from your dashboard
View scenario locations plotted on the UK map
Zoom into the incident scene for detailed views
Deploy ambulances, fire appliances, and police units
Track resource deployment and scene management

Operational Conditions

Adding real-world pressures to your training scenarios.

Toggle conditions on from your dashboard before starting
Night shift - Reduced visibility and staffing challenges
Poor radio comms - Communication difficulties
Delayed ambulance response - Longer unit arrival times
Scene safety concerns - Additional hazard management required
Conditions apply to your next simulation session

Multi-Agency Coordination

Working with police, fire, and ambulance within the JESIP framework.

Each agency has distinct roles and responsibilities
Practice joint decision-making at the scene
Establish cordons and rendezvous points
Share information through the METHANE framework
JESIP principles guide all inter-agency communication

Scenario Types Explained

Understanding the different incident types available in the simulator.

RTC (Road Traffic Collision) - Motorway and rural incidents
HAZMAT - Chemical, industrial, and environmental hazards
Mass Casualty - Stadium events, crowd incidents
Urban Search and Rescue - Building collapse, structural incidents
Each scenario type has unique challenges and resource needs
